Chicken Water Jug

Sometimes a product is discovered in the most unlikely of places. Many years ago, Chuck Williams came across the now-famous Chicken Water Jug while visiting the Hassler Hotel in Rome. He observed the bar's patrons ordering their whiskeys with "chicken water" and thought the earthenware jugs might sell well in his San Francisco store. On his next trip to Italy, he located the potter's workshop and placed our first order. The hand-decorated, fully-glazed jugs have been a Williams-Sonoma favorite ever since.
