Building on the immediate popularity of the Pottery Barn Kids catalog, we opened our first retail store in September 2000 in Costa Mesa, California. In addition to great kids' furniture and furnishings, it included the launch of the Pottery Barn Kids Baby & Gift Registry. Before the year ended, we opened seven more stores nationwide. Since then, we have opened dozens of new stores all across the country, as well as our first international branch in Toronto, Canada.
