Manhattan Chair

Many of our most popular furnishings take their inspiration from classic European designs. The origins of the Manhattan club chair, for instance, can be traced back to the Parisian nightclubs of the 1930s and later to the New York clubs from which they derive their name. We came across this chair at a Paris flea market some years ago. Our designers updated the look and feel – wrapping it in full-grain leather, and giving it a higher back and deeper seat – but the chair remains an homage to another era.
